HLM uses an SSM (Sufficient Statistics Matrix) file to perform statistical analysis. An SSM file can be created in a few different ways. Once an SSM file is created, we can use it as if it is a data file. For example, we have an SSM file created for ramus data, called ramus.ssm.
Using an SSM file is the easiest way to get into analysis. From the pull-down menu, follow the steps below. That is all there is.
