The purpose of this seminar is to introduce the tools for power and sample size analysis. We will focus on how to use SamplePower 2 and PROC POWER of SAS 1.9.3 to perform some basic power and sample size analyses.
One Sample t-test for mean = specific value
The one sample t-test allows us to test if the mean of a variable is equal a specific value.
SamplePower 2 Approach
we will choose New from menu File. This will bring the window below.
We will choose Means and One sample t-test that mean = specific value. Then click on Ok.
