Between the releases, SAS provides patches to fix bugs. These patches are called hot fixes by SAS. SAS has further grouped a lot of the hot fixes together into bundles to ease the process of downloading. If you have just installed SAS system or have SAS system running on your Linux machine but have not installed any of the hot fixes, we suggest that you install related hot fix bundles to keep the SAS system up to date. Here are the two most relevant ones to install:
Base SAS, Release 8.2 Hot Fix Bundle Download for Linux
SAS/STAT, Release 8.2 Hot Fix Bundle Download for Linux
Notice that there are some hot fixes released after the bundle and they have to be downloaded individually. This is the case currently for Base SAS. You can follow the instruction on which individual hot fix to install when you install the bundle for the Base.
You may want to download other hot fixes for, such as SAS/GRAPH, SAS/IML and SAS/ETS. Here is the link to all the hot fixes for SAS 8.2: http://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/82_lnx_sbcs.html. Those hot fixes are not bundled. They have to be downloaded individually.
The place to find out more information about hot fix is SAS FAQ page on hot fix.
Warning from SAS: Download and install hot fixes that are applicable only to the release of SAS you are running. Release 8.2 (TS2M0) hot fixes should be applied only to Release 8.2 (TS2M0) of the SAS System.
